Guarantee

1. Our Commitment & Your Statutory Rights
At FlexPatio, we stand behind the craftsmanship of our outdoor living solutions. This Limited Guarantee is a voluntary commercial guarantee. It is provided in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

2. Guarantee Periods
FlexPatio warrants the following components against defects in materials and workmanship under normal domestic use:

· 10-Year Structural Guarantee: Covers the main structural components including the aluminium frame, posts, and beams against severe corrosion or structural failure.

· 5-Year Powder Coating Guarantee: Covers the powder-coated finish against significant peeling, blistering, or cracking. (Excludes natural fading/chalking due to standard UV exposure or chemical damage).

· 3-Year Accessory & Lighting Guarantee: Covers the integrated power outlets and LED strip lighting systems.

· 2-Year Optional Side Walls & Screens Guarantee: Covers optional privacy shutter walls, motorized roller shades, and sliding glass door systems (excluding glass breakage).

· 1-Year Electrical & Heating Guarantee: Covers motors, heaters, sensors, and other internal electrical components.


3. Product Registration (The 90-Day Rule)
To provide industry-leading service, we have extended the registration window for our UK customers. This guarantee must be activated by emailing us within 90 days of delivery. Failure to register may result in the product being covered only by the minimum statutory requirements.

4. Warranty Transfer
If you transfer the product to a new owner, the warranty can be transferred. Please notify us via email within 30 days of the ownership change, and we will extend the warranty to the new owner.

5. 14-Day Cooling-Off Period & 30-Day Quality Right

· Change of Mind: Under UK law, you have 14 days from receipt to cancel your order for a full refund (including standard initial delivery costs). However, the cost of returning these heavy goods to our warehouse remains the responsibility of the customer.

· Short-term Right to Reject: If the product is faulty upon arrival, you have 30 days to reject the goods and claim a full refund, or request a repair/replacement.


6. Coastal & Environmental Maintenance
Due to the UK’s maritime climate, products installed within 5 miles (8km) of the coastline are subject to "Salt Spray Conditions." To maintain the 5-Year Coating Guarantee, the product must be rinsed with fresh water every three months to prevent salt accumulation. Documentation of this maintenance may be requested during a claim.

7. Exclusions & Limitations
This guarantee does not cover:

· Force Majeure: Damage caused by natural disasters or force majeure events, including but not limited to: damage caused by smoke, fire, abnormal weather conditions (including but not limited to frost, heavy snow, gale-force winds, lightning, storms, hail, hurricanes, ground movement, floods, stream overflow or deliberate destruction).

· Customer Negligence: Direct or indirect damage caused by customer negligence, improper maintenance, or misuse of the product, including but not limited to exposure to direct heat sources, customer modifications, or additional weight loads on the pergola's shutters and structure.

· Improper Installation: Damage resulting from failure to follow the FlexPatio Installation Guide or installation after 6 months of storage.

· Commercial Use: This guarantee applies to residential installations only.

· Damage from Concrete or Surface Movement: Damage occurring when the pergola is installed on concrete slabs or other surfaces that move.


8. How to Make a Claim
Claims must be submitted in writing to support@flexpatio.co.uk You must provide:

(1) Proof of purchase.

(2) Photos/Videos of the reported defect.

(3) Batch number (found on the frame/packaging).

FlexPatio will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective component. Within the first 6 months, FlexPatio will cover reasonable costs of labour and parts for valid claims.
